Case
Ayo The Garden, is a tattoo studio based in Aarhus. At that time, the owner was a part of another tattoo studio, but wanted to have her own.

She wanted a new identity, a new tattoo experience no one has seen before. She wanted to get away from what people normally associate with a tattoo studio, so away from black colors and wanted her studio and her online presence to reminisce her.

My job was to help with her visual and brand identity, design a website which of course reflects her tattoo studio that has a booking system. She wanted a form, where customer could book their appointments, and those appointments were sent to her mail. And create a social media strategy.
What Did I Do?
Name
The owner already had a vision of her dream tattoo studio, but was unsure about what to call it.
Her vision was about a garden, Eden-ish. So the name she suggested was "The Hidden Garden". Hidden because of the location of the studio (it is not easy to spot). I thought it was a good idea, but wanted her to think about the possibility of moving the studio at some point, and if the place is not hidden.

Through some thinking she game up with the name, "Ayo", which means "Joy/Happiness" in African. She still wanted the idea of the garden, so we came up with the name "Ayo The Garden".
Logo
The logo process was on both sides, she came up with some ideas as well did I.
Colors
Based on her wishes about her vision of the garden, I came up with a color palette fitting that.

Social Media Strategy
At that time, she was closing her previous tattoo studio, to open Ayo The Garden. The strategy was an announcement of her new studio including the name, a date for grand opening with and event. I also helped physically to the event by setting everything up, decorating and getting snacks ready.

Her primary social channel is Instagram, so a template had to be made. The strategy was of course that the posts should have the same vibe, the same design aspects. And she could use the "A" in the logo, in the post, for example when she announces new artists.
