The Quest

Case

This case was about how to get more tourism in Denmark.

Back in the day, we just finished a semester about games, gaming and gamification, so to me, it was obvious to create a digital concept including those aspects, but of course, concentrating on how to bring more tourist to Denmark.  

The Solution

I wanted to create something, that would get tourists around the sightseeing that could be explored in Denmark.

The Quest is an app, where you go - funny enough - go on a quest. The quests varies from town to town, depending on what the town has to offer. The quest can either be completed by yourself or you can connect it with a friend, depending on the quest.

The App

You create an user, and then you are good to go on a quest.

You pick out the city you want to take the quest, which is where the user is at. And then you pick a quest you want to complete.

In the prototype I made, is a quest about ones becoming a Jedi (real Star Wars fan here).

The quest is about getting ones lightsaber. The quest takes you varies places in Aarhus, to find, collect and lastly build the lightsaber. The user has to go through some tasks and complete them, before going to the next step.

When the user has completed the quest, in this case, the user gets a lightsaber badge, showcasing that the user has completed the quest.
